A criminal case on charges of «contempt of court» (Article 410 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan) was initiated against Olesya Vertinskaya, the correspondent of the news portal Road Control in Atyrau. Vertinskaya found out about it on June 6, when she received a summons from the police. At the police station, the journalist learnt that the application was filed by the judge of the Atyrau City Court Zukhra Mukasheva in connection with the video published on the YouTube channel DGK.Region.06. Olesya Vertinskaya is a witness with the right to defence. She has signed an undertaking of non-disclosure of the pre-trial information.
