Journalist and urban rights activist Oleg Mukhin was detained because of a complaint from an employee of Pride, the company which is demolishing the buildings to develop the apartment buildings. Mukhin and other concerned city residents stopped the demolition of Ekimova's commercial bathhouses on Maliy Prospect by «all lawful means»: they communicated with police officers, the Ministry for Emergency Situations, and the district administration. However, one of the employees of the contracting company complained on Mukhin. The detractor filed a complaint against the journalist under the article «hooliganism» (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). Mukhin filed a responsive complaint under the article on «deliberate false denunciation» (Article 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). As a result, the journalist and the Pride employee were detained.
