The film crew of Khabar 24 arrived at the scene of the explosion of a pharmacy in Shymkent. At the time, the area was cordoned off by police officers. The channel's journalists Katerina Popkova and Nursultan Abbaz were at a safe distance from the explosion and did not cross the fence. During the filming of an incident, a police officer approached the reporters and prohibited them from filming the incident on their phones. He started pushing the journalists and grabbed their hands. At this point, Shymkent Emergency Situations Department spokesperson Z. Abdullayeva intervened. She said that the film crew would not go close to the explosion site and would film the interview. The police officer continued the verbal altercation with Abdullayeva.
