The editorial office of Novye Kolesa newspaper was searched in the case of libel (Part 5 of Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The reason was the article of May 14, in which Andrey Pershikov, head of the operative investigation department of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was accused of bribery. On the same day, a search was conducted in the apartment of the Novye Kolesa journalist Aleksey Malinovsky.
