The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined Novaya Gazeta publishing house RUB 50,000 for «discrediting» the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The reason for the prosecution of Novaya Gazeta was the article «What a Priest!» by journalist Tatyana Britskaya in the Novaya Rasskaz-gazeta magazine: it told about priest Andrey Tkachev, who served in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate until 2014, and then moved to Russia and supports the war against Ukraine.
