The Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined Novaya Gazeta RUB 400,000 for «discrediting» the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation). The charges were based on three articles published on the Novaya Gazeta website: Alexander Minkin’s text «Mirror of the Russian Resolution» (about the language used in police reports), Kirill Fokin’s text «History of the Arkanar Rant» (about current international relations ), and Andrey Kolesnikov’s article «Empire Must Beсome Wild» (about the ideology of empires).
