On February 17, Nino Tsverava, a journalist with Studio Monitori, was fined GEL 5,000 (USD 1,800) for "violating traffic rules." After presenting her press badge and confirming her status as a journalist, her case was suspended. Following the introduction of tougher protest regulations by Georgian Dream, blocking a road is now subject to a GEL 5,000 fine (USD 1,800).
