Following the publication of an investigation on illegal logging and deforestation, including on behalf of Hîncești Court chairman Mikhail Macari and his son, lawyer Aleksandru Macari, the latter filed a lawsuit against the newspaper Ziarul de Garda for defamation of honour, dignity, and reputation. The court is considering the case.
