On June 21, the Supreme Court of Tajikistan satisfied the lawsuit of the Prosecutor General and recognised the website New Tajikistan 2 an extremist organisation, banning its activities in the country. At the same time, all websites and pages in the social networks Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram of the authors of New Tajikistan 2 were blocked and banned in Tajikistan. The General Prosecutor's Office of Tajikistan warned of criminal liability for cooperation with the banned website. Participation in the activities of an organisation recognised by a court as extremist, according to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Tajikistan, is punishable by imprisonment from five to eight years.
