The Facebook community "Naviny Vitebsk" (News of Vitebsk) has ceased operations. This was announced by the founder of the platform, journalist Tatyana Matveeva. At the time of its closure, the page had over 25,000 followers and published daily content about life in the region. While Matveeva did not explicitly state the reasons for shutting down the group, it was likely due to pressure from the Belarusian authorities. “I live in constant stress. And in order to preserve my health and sanity, I am forced to say goodbye to the group,” Tatyana Matveeva wrote in a message to readers.
