The Mazyr District Court of the Gomel Region has designated the “Naviny – News of Belarus” page on the social network Odnoklassniki (ok.ru/group/53336049189118), affiliated with the online media outlet of the same name, as extremist informational material. The community’s content has not been updated since November 2021, following the designation of the media company BelaPAN as an “extremist formation.” Following the court’s decision, the Ministry of Information of Belarus has added this online resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials deemed extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
