The columnist of the media outlet Nizhny Seychas Natalya Rezontova was detained in Nizhny Novgorod. She was taken to the police department. According to Rezontova, she was detained for calling for an unauthorised action in Telegram. On January 23, Rezontova was fined RUB 20,000 under the article on organising an unauthorised action (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation) for reposting in VKontakte the announcement of the action in support of Alexey Navalny, which was held that day in Nizhny Novgorod and across the country. On January 30, her flat was searched, and on January 31, she was detained at the rally in support of Navalny.
