The Nizhny Novgorod District Court has chosen a measure of restraint for Rezontova on the so-called "sanitary case" (Article 236 of the Criminal Code). The journalist, accused of violating sanitary rules while holding rallies in support of Alexei Navalny on January 23 and 31, was banned from using her telephone, mail, and Internet. She is obliged to report all calls to the supervision service. On top of that, Rezontova cannot participate in protest actions and communicate with the second defendant in the case, Roman Tregubov.
