A journalist of a local media outlet reported pressure from the mayor of Pervomaisk Oleh Demchenko. After the publication of an article about the meeting of the city council session, where among other things the issue of the mayor’s salary was discussed, Demchenko started calling the journalist and accusing her of bias. It should be noted that several Pervomaisk-based journalists had previously reported threats and pressure from the mayor.
