The weekly newspaper Nasha Gazeta published news on its website and Instagram page about an unusual accident in which a dump truck crashed into a road arch. The information included two videos sent by readers. After the publication, a man called the editorial office and categorically demanded that one of the videos be removed, as it not only filmed the accident, but also the person commenting on it. The caller claimed that this person was him and provided proof — a link to his publication in TikTok. The editor-in-chief replied that the video was in the public domain and there was no violation of image rights. The caller was offered to provide a link to the source of the video in the media outlet’s publications. The conflict was settled.
