Location: Belarus, Minsk

Additional information:

The Ministry of Information cancelled the certificate of state registration of the independent nationwide newspaper Narodnaya Volya «due to the fact that the issue of this print media outlet has not been carried out for six consecutive months», — the Ministry said. Narodnaya Volya’s problems began in August 2020. After the materials about the protests on the newspaper’s front pages, the printing machine at the House of Press, where the media outlet was printed, started to break down constantly. Then, the contract with the newspaper was broken and it began to be printed in Russia. In November 2020, it became known that Narodnaya Volya stopped issuing the media outlet on paper. The Moscow printing house broke the contract with the media outlet after Rospotrebnadzor inspected it and suspended its work. Belposhta also stopped distributing the newspaper and did not include it in the subscription catalogue for 2021.
