All printing houses in Belarus have been refusing to print copies of the independent national newspaper Narodnaya Volya for more than half a year. The heads of the printing houses explain their refusal to cooperate with the newspaper’s editorial board by the fear of repressions that would follow from the authorities. According to Maryna Koktysh, deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper, it has not been possible to publish the newspaper in Russia either — as they say in printing houses in Russia, «the ban is at the federal level», up to the closure of the enterprise.
