About thirty journalists representing independent media held a protest in front of the parliament building. They expressed their dissatisfaction with the draft law «On Media», which restricts the rights of the press and freedom of speech. The protesters condemned the fact that the parliament ignored the calls and demands of the journalist community to amend the draft law. Police surrounded the journalists, they tried to push them back and took participants' posters. A scuffle broke out between the police and the protesters, as a result of which journalist Nargiz Absalamova was injured. Her leg was broken.
