By a court decision, the founder of the website sheffaf.az Namik Amrakhov was arrested on charges of attempted extortion from the chief physician of Hospital #36 of Baku. According to the prosecutor's office, Amrakhov blackmailed chief physician Ramida Ibrahimova since 2018 that he would publish defamatory information about her in the media. In exchange, he received about AZN 2,000 from her. The prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case under Article 182.2.2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (repeated extortion by threats) and Article 308.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (abuse of official position).
