Additional information:

On August 27, Radio Liberty correspondent Naira Bulgadaryan wrote on her Facebook page that the country’s judiciary continues to obstruct the work of journalists. In particular, in order to interview someone present during court session breaks—even those who are not parties to the case—prior approval from the court is required. This often becomes practically impossible, since it is not possible to know in advance who will be present or to foresee the need to speak with them. For example, in the Ajapnyak office of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, during a break in the trial against opposition figure Rubik Hakobyan, the journalist attempted to interview Member of Parliament Garnik Danielyan, but was prevented from doing so by court bailiffs.
