Several unknown people in civilian clothes forcibly took away the correspondent of Yuridicheskaya Gazeta newspaper and an activist of the Oyan, Qazaqstan! movement Nagashybek Bekdair from his home to the district police department in Almaty. During the detention, the journalist's cell phone was confiscated. The journalist spent 2.5 hours at the police station. The reason for the detention was explained only after the lawyer was called. The reason was the investigation of the theft that took place in the area where the journalist lives.
