The trial of the journalist of TUT.BY Nadzeya Kalinina continued in the Leninsky District Court of Minsk. She was detained on January 29, when she tried to get to the congress of delegates of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly in Minsk, and was charged with two articles — 23.34 and 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus. Kalinina spent almost three days in the temporary detention centre on Akrestsina, in an overcrowded cell without warm clothes and hygiene products. On February 1, her trial began and was adjourned. This time, judge Tatsiana Shotsik ruled to find Nadzeya Kalinina guilty and impose a fine of 80 basic amounts: BYN 1,450 under Article 23.34 and BYN 870 under Article 23.4. The court hearing lasted 16 minutes.
