On May 23, the chairman of the Tashkent regional branch of the Ezgulik Human Rights Society Murod Makhsudov was arrested for 5 days by the Mirzo Ulugbek District Court. According to the materials of the investigation, Makhsudov was charged with petty hooliganism and disobedience to the lawful demand of a representative of public authorities. The blogger and activist allegedly illegally filmed the election of a mahalla elder at one of the polling stations in the capital. Ezgulik intends to appeal the decision in the Tashkent City Court.
