On October 22, the blogger and author of the YouTube channel Jurttyń balasy Murat Daniyar was summoned to the police for an interview. It was revealed that on October 7, a citizen had reported the blogger, accusing him of spreading deliberately false information in the October 4 edition of the programme about the safety of the nuclear power plant. In the programme, the blogger referred to the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant accident in March 1979, and said that dismantling and decommissioning was scheduled to be completed by 2078. The complainant believes that Daniyar disseminated knowingly false information, as it is known from reliable sources that Three Mile Island is scheduled to restart in 2028, and that the blogger disseminated the information to disrupt the referendum on the construction of the nuclear power plant, which was held on October 6.
