In Makhachkala, police detained Murad Muradov, the journalist of Caucasian Knot. Muradov was covering a protest rally against mobilization and had an editorial assignment. At the station, Muradov was demanded to sign a report on an administrative violation. The journalist refused, he was held at the station until morning and then released. During the detention, Muradov tried to show his journalist ID, but a man in civilian clothes took the document away. Then, four people physically assaulted Muradov and snatched his phone when he wanted to call the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan. Afterwards, Muradov and nine other detainees were brought to the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sovetsky district of Makhachkala.
