On Monday evening, the editors of Abzas Media reported that in the morning, public activist and journalist Muhammad Kekalov was detained and taken away from his house by plainclothes police officers. They did not allow his mother to approach him and forcibly took Mohammed out of the house. During his arrest, the police did not show a court order or any other document. Personal belongings, including Kekalov's computer and personal belongings were confiscated. Despite many hours of searching, it was not possible to establish the whereabouts of Mohammed Kekalov.
