On November 1, the editorial office of Moy Gorod received a pre-trial complaint from Kazakhstan Housing Company in connection with the publication about a residential building in Uralsk commissioned in 2019. The material was prepared on the complaints of the tenants of this building, who told about the cold in the flats, through gaps, problems with the sewerage system, repair work started on their complaints. Kazakhstan Housing Company believes that the article disseminated inaccurate information about it, which should be refuted, and the publication itself — removed. For failure to fulfil the requirements of KHK reported on the intention to appeal to the court. The editorial board notes that the journalists did not make any independent statements and conclusions in their article, the disputed information is contained in the direct speech of the building’s residents, and during the preparation of the article they failed to promptly receive a comment from the company.
