Blogger Mirshat Sarsenbaev and the NeMolchi.kz public fund acted as defendants in the claim for the protection of the honor and dignity of A. Baytykov, M. Saparova, and R. Shishkov. The reason for the trial was a video message from the ex-wife of the complainant, in which she accused her ex-husband Baytykov of beatings and persecution. Sarsenbaev published her video message on his VKontakte social network account on July 28, 2020, the NeMolchi.kz public fund published it on Instagram on July 29. The court rejected the complainants' claims for refutation and compensation for moral damage in full.
