The Basmanny District Court of Moscow sentenced in absentia journalist and writer Mikhail Zygar to 8,5 years in a general regime colony in the case of «fakes» about the Russian army (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The reason for criminal prosecution was a post in Instagram about the killings of civilians in Bucha. Mikhail Zygar lives in exile.
