The Leninsky District Court of Smolensk has banned the Telegram channel of writer and journalist Mikhail Zygar, titled "Da. Zygar," on the Russian territory. This is the first court ruling of its kind against a Telegram channel. It was issued at the request of the prosecutor. The prosecutor's office “during monitoring” found that Zygar's posts did not indicate his status as a “foreign agent.” The court ruling also stated that the Telegram channel “creates a false impression” about the Russian army and “contains information” against the war in Ukraine.
