Mikhail Shevelev, TV-Rain journalist, received 100’000 rouble fine (EUR 1,100) for ‘participation in activities of an "undesirable organisation". Shevelev currently resides abroad. The relevant decision was issued on 19 September by the Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow. According to lawyer, the basis for the fine was the daytime news broadcast by TV Rain, which aired on 5 May 2025.
