The security officials detained the journalist during the dispersal of a protest against the presidential election results and the security forces' violence. He was taken to the police department, where his phone was confiscated. He was accused of participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and held in the detention centre until the trial. On November 16, the court returned the documents of the administrative case for revision. Kuntsevich was released until the next court session.
