On May 5, the journalist was streaming from the rallies supporting blogger Sjarhej Tsikhanouski in Mogilev. The journalist was detained on the evening of May 7 on charges of violation of the law on mass events (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). The journalist was placed in the temporary detention centre until the trial. On May 11, the court arrested the journalist for ten days.
