On March 9, the Kirovsky District Court of Kemerovo fined the blogger Mikhail Alferov RUB 20,000 under the article on degrading dignity (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation. The reason for the prosecution of the blogger was the video «Birthday 2022», released on the YouTube channel Alferov Life in August last year. According to the results of a socio-linguistic study, the video showed signs of degrading the representatives of the «social group of federal authorities» (for example, in the phrases «Putin’s scum», «Putin’s lawlessness») and the «social group of law enforcement and the judiciary» (including in the words «mantle bearers», «organized criminal community», «so-called prosecutors, investigators, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, experts»).
