The blogger was prosecuted under the article on incitement of hatred or enmity (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for the video about the return and arrest of Alexey Navalny. On July 5, the search was conducted in the apartment of Alferov (according to his mother, Lyudmila Alferova, the blogger was notified by the Investigative Committee that he had been criminally charged, and a search warrant was presented). Before the search, his bag with the phone was taken, and he was left without communication. He was interrogated without a lawyer and placed in the temporary detention centre for five days. The driver of the van transporting Alferov from the court to prison stopped and turned abruptly. As a result, the blogger was injured. The medics in the temporary detention centre recorded the injuries. On July 9, the court sent Alferov under house arrest until September 1.
