In the afternoon, law enforcers detained journalist Mikalai Markevich at his workplace. Apparently, it was the work of GUBOPiK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Details and reasons for the detention are unknown. Mikalai Markevich is one of the founders and editor-in-chief of the newspaper Pagonya. In 2002, he was sentenced to two years of imprisonment for «libel» against Lukashenko. On June 24, the court arrested the journalist for 10 days for reposting «extremist materials». He was hospitalized a day before the end of his arrest.
