The Savelovsky District Court of Moscow has ruled to recover RUB 466,736 from Meduza, editor-in-chief of the Vladimir-based media Dovod Ilya Kosygin and journalist Maksim Shevchenko in favour of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin. The defendants were charged RUB 80,000 in the original lawsuit. The lawsuit was prompted by Shevchenko’s commentary to Dovod, in which he referred to Prigozhin as a «twice-convicted criminal», a reference to Meduza’s material about Prigozhin that was removed by decision of the Moscow City Court.
