The press service of the Moscow City Court refused to provide Mediazona with information about the dates of the final court hearings in the criminal case of Gleb Verdiyan, accused of state treason. On August 30, after the next court session was postponed, Mediazona correspondent unsuccessfully tried to find out the date of debates in court. In response to a written request, the press service of the Moscow City Court replied that the case was being considered in closed mode and promised to inform the media about the date of the verdict announcement. As a result, the journalists learnt about the verdict retroactively.
