On June 14, citizen Arsen Ghukasyan filed a lawsuit with the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction against the founder of the Medianews.am news website, Media News LLC, demanding to refute the information that infringes his honor and dignity and to pay compensation. The reason for the lawsuit was the article published on the website on May 26, according to which the relatives of the victims of the 44-day Karabakh war, including the plaintiff, politicize the trials on criminal cases of treason and use them against the incumbent authorities through manipulations. The lawsuit was admitted to proceedings on June 23 and is being considered.
