The Pruzhany District Court of the Brest Region has designated the Media-Polesye outlet’s page on the social network X (x.com/mediapolesye) as extremist informational material. Previously, the Belarusian authorities had already designated other social media accounts and the website of this media outlet as “extremist”. Following the court’s decision, the Ministry of Information of Belarus has added the online resource to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials deemed extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
