The Pinsk District and City Court has declared the website of the Belarusian independent online outlet Media-Polesye (identifier: media-polesye.com) to be extremist informational content. Based on the court’s decision, the Belarusian Ministry of Information has added the website to the Republican List of Extremist Materials. Under Belarusian law, the distribution and storage of materials recognised as extremist entail administrative liability for both publishers and users.
