The editorial office was searched in connection with the 2003 Yukos case. It was conducted by 8 operatives of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Nothing was taken. The previous search in the editorial office, in this case, took place on 9 July. On that day, the security officials also came to the home of the then editor-in-chief of MBK Media, Sergei Prostakov, employees of Open Russia and Human Rights organisation Otkrytka, and politician Yulia Galyamina.
