The press service of the akim of the Pavlodar region and the Central Communications Service in Nur-Sultan did not allow Maya Shuakbayeva, a journalist of the Gorodskaya nedelya (City Week), to attend an online briefing with the participation of the akim of the Pavlodar region Abulkair Skakov. Three days before the briefing, the journalist sent questions to the press service of the akim of the region. The day before the briefing, she was unexpectedly told that the questions would not be accepted until she provided a set of documents to the Central Communications Service. The journalist sent all the documents requested. Nevertheless, an hour before the briefing, the press service of the akim of the region said that Shuakbayeva's questions could not be registered in time, and they would not be asked during the press conference.
