Five police and child protection officers came to Kuzakhmetov and his wife. They allegedly received a signal that Kuzakhmetov's were beating their children. The journalist, who was running for municipal deputy in 2019, believes the visit was revenge on the part of Oleg Smakotin, head of the Ekaterinhofsky municipality. Kuzakhmetov called the United Russia party member a criminal «who seized power in the municipality with the help of forged ballots».
