The Basmanny District Court of Moscow sentenced in absentia opposition activist and blogger Maxim Katz to 8 years in prison for spreading «fakes» about the Russian army (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
