The Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested in absentia journalist Masha Gessen in the case of spreading «fakes» about the Russian army (Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The court ruling also says that on December 12, Gessen were put on an international wanted list. Earlier, it became known that Gessen are on a federal wanted list. The case of military «fakes» against Gessen was initiated back on August 29, 2023, because of the interview with journalist Yury Dud, in which they discussed war crimes of the Russian army in Ukrainian Bucha.
