At night, police officers tried to get into the apartment where journalists Marya Bulavinskaya and Syarhei Lyapin were. The policemen knocked on the door of the apartment, then cut off the electricity. The policemen did not give any reasons for the necessity of entering the apartment. They questioned the neighbours and later told Bulavinskaya's sister that the police were looking for a stolen bicycle. In the morning, the policemen also knocked on the door.
