On December 10, the Armenian Facebook segment published posts about a wave of insults, threats, and hate speech against journalist Marut Vanyan, who was forced to move from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia in September together with more than 100,000 refugees. The reason for the attack against the journalist was the photos published by him exposing deplorable condition of the streets of Hrazdan, as well as the text: «This town has a mayor...?». Soon, the «defenders» of the mayor started insulting Vanyan, threatening him, discriminating against him, pointing to his origin from Nagorno-Karabakh. The journalist was forced to close his page.
