The Basmanny Court of Moscow sent the former editor of Channel One, Marina Ovsyannikova, under house arrest after she had been prosecuted for spreading «fakes» about the Russian army. The reason for the prosecution of Ovsyannikova was an individual picket held on July 1. On that day, she walked onto Sofia Embankment holding a sign that read: «Putin is a murderer. His soldiers are fascists. 352 children died. How many more children must die for you to stop?».
