About 10 security officials in civilian clothes and masks stormed into the cafe and detained the group of people, with the journalist being among them. They handcuffed Maryna, took her to the police department, and drew up two administrative reports on her: for alleged disobedience to the police (Article 23.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus) and participation in an unauthorized event (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus). She was held in the detention centre for three days until the trial. On November 2, the court found the journalist guilty and arrested her for 15 days.
